About the Role
As the Night Building Attendant, you will ensure resident safety overnight, maintain the community, and prepare the team for the day ahead. This role involves responding to emergency requests, monitoring building safety and security, and serving as a welcoming ambassador.
Responsibilities
- Respond to in-house emergency requests and needs in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance to emergency personnel if required.
- Monitor the building to ensure it is safe and secure at all times.
- Greet residents, visitors, and members of the public in a friendly and professional manner.
- Clean the lobby area and administrative offices, including garbage pickup and disposal, recycling, and vacuuming.
- Ensure the cleanliness of assigned office areas, bathrooms, lounges, dining room, elevators, fixtures, and windows.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school education - Grade 10 minimum, prefer Grade 12.
- Experience in a hospitality and/or seniors’ environment is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate are desirable.
- Basic Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, email etc.).
- Experience in daily cleaning/laundry duties is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out significant amounts of lifting, bending, stopping, and stretching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to organize workload and respond efficiently and effectively to unexpected workload and situations.
- Demonstrates a consistent, well-groomed appearance and hygiene at all times.
