About the Role

The Area Sales Director (ASD) will lead a team of Dermatology Business Directors (DBDs) and Dermatology Therapeutic Specialists (DTS) to advance the Opzelura business, maximizing opportunities within the dermatology franchise and collaborating with other key functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to DBDs and DTS on marketing, allocating, monitoring, and leveraging internal/external resources.
  • Assist in developing local thought leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
  • Conduct sales meetings to drive performance.
  • Share best practices with team members, colleagues, and headquarters.
  • Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company policies.
  • Lead diverse teams and regions of responsibility to meet revenue targets.
  • Employ strong leadership skills, develop business plans for assigned areas, and implement national sales strategies.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evolving dermatology marketplace and its various customer segments.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure outcomes and recommend changes to improve efficiency.
  • Provide ideas that contribute to the formation of overall business strategies.
  • Develop innovative ways to drive results within company guidelines.
  • Exceed performance driven goals and routinely measure outcomes.
  • Empower individuals to perform beyond their current responsibilities.
  • Develop, hire, and coach high-performing strategic teams to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Foster a creative, innovative, and supportive workplace that values diverse perspectives and inclusivity.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications, or equivalent software skills, is required.
  • Documentation of success in annual reviews and up to date sales reports.
  • Proven track record in sales and leadership performance.
  • Experience in access and reimbursement is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to motivate, retain, and develop team members.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
