About the Role

The Oracle HCM Platform Manager leads the team responsible for the overall success of the Oracle Fusion HCM. This enterprise application serves as STOBG’s strategic platform to engage employees, empower managers, enable HR transformation and deliver actionable workforce insights. The role provides leadership for strategy, governance, operational excellence, and continuous evolution of the platform to ensure it delivers a secure, reliable, and engaging experience. In partnership with HR and business leaders, the Platform Manager is responsible for maximizing the organization's investment in Oracle HCM by driving adoption of new capabilities, maintaining high-quality employee data, and ensuring the platform supports business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the overall IT owner for the Oracle Fusion HCM platform and its supporting capabilities.
  • Develop and nurture partnership with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, and Payroll leaders to understand business goals, needs, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain the HCM technology roadmap in partnership with HR leadership and the IT Director.
  • Align platform priorities and investments with HR strategy, employee experience objectives, and in line with broader business goals.
  • Establish priorities for platform enhancements, optimization initiatives, and new capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Oracle HCM application support team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Oracle and third-party partners and ensure external resources are used strategically where specialized expertise is required.
  • Partner with HR leadership to advance the vision of Oracle HCM as a central hub supporting the employee journey and employee engagement.
  • Ensure the platform provides a positive experience beginning with recruiting and the candidate experience and continuing through offer, onboarding, employment, learning, performance, career growth, and development.
  • Develop strong partnerships with HR functional leaders and other business stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure the HCM team translates business requirements into effective, scalable technology solutions for an improved employee experience.
  • Promote effective employee and manager self-service and increased adoption of Oracle capabilities.
  • Ensure the reliable, secure, and effective operation of the Oracle HCM platform.
  • Establish and maintain standards and processes for application support, incident management, configuration, documentation, testing, change management, and support metrics.
  • Ensure employees, managers, executives, and HR users receive responsive, knowledgeable, value-added application support.
  • Proactively monitor recurring issues and support trends to identify root causes and opportunities for process, system, or user-experience improvements.
  • Oversee environment management, system administration, security administration, and Oracle support activities.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, controls, and knowledge transfer are maintained to support sustainable operations.
  • Strategically utilize and manage third party vendors/partners for support, maintenance, solution delivery, expertise.
  • Ensure processes are in place and followed to enhance the application to support business growth and change (new business units, reorganizations, etc.) including design, testing, documentation, and communication with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Oversee the definition, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and documentation of functional enhancements. Ensure process and delivery standards are followed.
  • Ensure enhancements and projects deliver measurable business value and align with the overall platform roadmap.
  • Maintain appropriate governance over Oracle HCM security, roles, access, and sensitive employee information.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and controls.
  • Oversee periodic access reviews and appropriate segregation of duties.
  • Ensure configuration and application changes follow established change-management and testing standards.
  • Proactively identify and address platform, security, data, and operational risks.
  • Provide overall leadership for Oracle quarterly release management, including impact assessment, security, testing, readiness, deployment, and adoption of new functionality.
  • Establish a disciplined process for evaluating newly released Oracle capabilities rather than limiting release management to regression testing.
  • Identify functionality that can improve employee experience, HR operations, manager effectiveness, or business outcomes.
  • Develop recommendations and adoption plans for capabilities that provide meaningful value.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging Oracle HCM AI capabilities.
  • Partner with HR leaders and functional team members to identify high-value AI use cases across recruiting, employee experience, talent, learning, workforce insights, and HR operations.
  • Ensure AI capabilities are appropriately evaluated for business value, data requirements, security, privacy, governance, and user impact.
  • Promote responsible proof of concepts, pilots, and adoption of AI capabilities that improve productivity, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness in line with business goals.
  • Champion the quality and integrity of enterprise employee data maintained within Oracle HCM.
  • Establish clear accountability within the HCM team for data integrity, configuration standards, and business-process controls.
  • Partner with HR and enterprise data governance resources to define and enforce appropriate data standards and governance practices.
  • Support data needs for downstream payroll, benefits, integrations, reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
  • Support the organization's ability to develop trusted workforce analytics and actionable business insights.
  • Ensure appropriate ownership of Oracle reporting, extracts, and the HCM data model within the team.
  • Ensure the HCM team maintains strong knowledge of the Oracle HCM data model and provides the HCM expertise required to specify and support integration needs.
  • Ensure appropriate HCM requirements, business rules, data mappings, extracts, validation, testing, and documentation are provided for integrations.
  • Coordinate closely with payroll application resources and third-party benefits providers to support accurate and reliable employee data flows/feeds.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on architecture, security, automation, data, and technology initiatives affecting the HCM platform.
  • Partner closely with the enterprise integration team responsible for middleware and internal/external integration development.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Oracle HCM team members with responsibility for platform administration and functional domains.
  • Establish clear accountability for platform and functional ownership.
  • Build team capabilities in Oracle HCM expertise, business process consulting, business analyst skills, employee experience, data and analytics, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop team members’ ability to identify business opportunities, design solutions, and lead enhancement initiatives aligned with business priorities and delivery standards.
  • Promote cross-training and knowledge sharing to reduce key-person dependencies.
  • Nurture a culture focused on exceptional service, quality, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience supporting Oracle Fusion HCM or comparable enterprise HCM technology, with significant Oracle Fusion HCM experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an enterprise HCM platform, application team, or significant HCM functional/technical workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle HCM architecture, configuration, security, reporting, data, data models, release management, and environment management.
  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and the employee lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technology solutions and leading functional enhancements.
  • Experience managing application support, production issues, testing, and change management.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and the importance of trusted enterprise employee data.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with HR and business stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning, Advanced Compensation, Absence Management, and HCM Analytics/FDI.
  • Experience supporting HCM integrations with payroll, benefits, and other enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting a multi-country employee population.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled HCM functionality.
  • Experience with workforce reporting, analytics, and data governance.
  • Experience managing Oracle and third-party consulting relationships.
