About the Role
This freelance Event Catering Server or Banquet Server position is ideal for candidates with experience in catering, banquet service, restaurant work, or event hospitality who enjoy working in fast-paced, professional event environments. You will play a key role in making our events run smoothly by assisting with preparation, providing professional service during events, and helping with breakdown and cleanup.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing service areas
- Set up tables
- Organize linens
- Provide professional service during events
- Pass hors d'oeuvres
- Assist with plated dinners
- Help at buffet or food stations
- Ensure guests have an exceptional experience
- Work closely with other servers, kitchen staff, and event supervisors
- Help with breakdown

- Pack equipment
- Ensure everything is organized before leaving the venue
Requirements
- Reliable
- Professional
- Comfortable working in hospitality or catering
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift and move catering equipment as needed
- Able to communicate effectively with the team
- Reliable transportation to events across the GTA is required
- Maintain a professional appearance by wearing black dress pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, a black tie, black socks, and non-slip shoes during events
