About the Role
The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience designed for undergraduate and graduate students. It offers opportunities to attend development workshops, network with professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects. Interns receive mentorship and develop throughout the summer, gaining exposure to key business concepts through focused workshops. The program accommodates various skills-based tracks, including both technical and non-technical fields.
Responsibilities
- Support Request for Proposal/Information (RFP/I) activities, evaluate vendors and spend categories, and lead sourcing initiatives by identifying new competitive suppliers.
- Compile and report on supply chain spend analytics.
- Create and deliver a presentation upon completion of the internship.
- Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.
- Complete work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
- Perform a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks covering a broad range of business-related projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with company policies.
- Attend development workshops focused on key business concepts.
Requirements
- High school diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.
