About the Role
This role involves driving a shuttle bus to transport customers to and from a facility, ensuring safe and efficient operation while complying with all traffic and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for greeting passengers, assisting with loading/unloading, monitoring vehicle condition, and communicating with dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Drives shuttle bus and transports customers to and from the facility.
- Greets passengers and provides assistance with loading and unloading.
- Operates the shuttle bus in a safe and efficient manner and complies with all traffic and safety regulations.
- Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms.
- Communicates with dispatchers, drivers and other employees using a two-way radio system.
- Conducts pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses at the beginning and end of shift.
- Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch or supervisor of potential problems.
- Reports accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
- Treats all customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
- Must have possessed a valid Driver’s License for at least 5 years.
- Must be able to provide a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the past 3-years.
- Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment depending upon customer volume, shift, season, etc.
- Possess positive and professional attitude with strong communication skills.
Skills
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class-B with passenger endorsement
- Current Medical Certificate
- Two-way radio operation
