About the Role
This part-time position involves data analysis and scientific research with the VERITAS gamma-ray observatory under the supervision of Prof. Mukherjee. Responsibilities include learning analysis software, running it on data sets, developing code, and summarizing research in articles and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Learn the VERITAS data analysis software
- Learn gamma-ray analysis software as advised by the PI
- Analyse data from VERITAS Observatory
- Assist in the dissemination of scientific results
- Ability to work independently
- Perform additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Proficiency with working with scientific analysis tools is required.
- Prior research experience is desired but not required.
