About the Role

Step into the fast-paced laboratory world at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where Laboratory Technologists are redefining the limits of science and medicine. Join us as Laboratory Supervisor and see the Amazing Things Happening in the Laboratory. This is a day shift position working Monday - Friday plus alternate weekends & rotating holidays, with supervisory coverage extended to other shifts as inherent in a leadership position. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Responsibilities

• Supervisory coverage extended to other shifts as inherent in a leadership position.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of laboratory experience defining pre-analytical and post analytical processes
• Documented supervisory experience
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Established working knowledge of MS Office 365: PowerPoint, Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, leadership, and stakeholders.
• All roles require on-site presence (variable by role).
• Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
• NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Skills

• Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and other laboratory information systems (e.g. Epic, Epic Beaker)
• Knowledge of data analytics tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI
