About the Role
As a Staff Nurse, you will provide safe, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. In this critical role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, promote recovery, support patients and families, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. This position requires clinical expertise, compassion, strong critical thinking skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, promote recovery, and support patients and families.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license
- BCLS certification (from accredited AHA org)
- Complete Nurse Residency Program if new Graduate
- Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science & current health care environment
- Knowledge of customer service principle & effective interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of use of computer applications
- Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
