About the Role
The Outreach and Retention Administrator prepares and facilitates community information sessions, promotes Employment Service programs through community outreach to increase client referrals and develop partnerships, and assists job seekers in their first year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Actively markets ES programs and conducts outreach to the community through scheduling and attending community meetings and participating in relevant councils and committees.
- Maintains and nurtures relationships with community, employer, and collaborative partners, and cultivates new ones.
- Delivers workshops to varying groups using in-person and virtual means.
- Maintains comprehensive and organized tracking of all outreach efforts; analyzes and reports on outreach data outcomes on an internal database system.
- Follows up with program participants over the course of their first year of work.
- Records retention results as per program standards.
- Maintains current records on job seekers in retention meeting monthly retention targets.
Requirements
- Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database software packages.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and computer).
- Solid group presentation skills and public speaking, with sound knowledge of adult learning techniques.
- Well-organized individual with strong problem-solving skills and self-initiative.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and/or experience serving clients with employment barriers, including disability.
- Customer-oriented, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in successful group facilitation with a diverse participant base with varying abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle to attend various job and community sites.
