About the Role
The Virtual Sales Consultant role is responsible for conducting live virtual product demonstrations for customers, taking ownership of the sales journey, understanding customer needs, demonstrating products, answering questions, recommending solutions, preparing quotes, and driving purchases.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and on-demand live virtual product demonstrations.
- Present products with confidence, enthusiasm, and strong product knowledge.
- Tailor demonstrations to customer requirements and interests.
- Answer product, technical, installation, and service-related questions.
- Follow demonstration scripts and presentation standards.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain a professional, energetic, and engaging presence on camera.
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
- Build rapport and professional relationships through virtual interactions.
- Qualify customers using clear, direct, and exploratory questions.
- Recommend suitable products and solutions based on customer needs.
- Prepare accurate quotes and assist customers with orders.
- Follow up consistently and overcome objections.
- Maintain accurate customer information in required systems.
- Become a product knowledge expert across all product categories.
- Deliver a personalized, informative, and memorable customer experience.
- Stay informed about new and existing products.
- Share customer feedback with leadership.
- Work closely with Direct Sales, Design, Concierge, and Experience Centre teams.
- Follow established processes for customer assignment, demonstrations, consultations, quotes, orders, and follow-ups.
- Manage personal workload effectively, maintain accuracy and quality.
- Support individual and team goals.
- Demonstrate flexibility as priorities change.
- Identify and escalate issues affecting customer experience or sales.
- Support other Direct Sales and Experience Centre activities as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales, retail sales, customer service, contact centre, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Proven experience meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong consultative selling, upselling, cross-selling, and objection-handling skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Confident engaging customers virtually and on camera.
- Comfortable being recorded and conducting live demonstrations.
- Strong ability to build rapport, make confident recommendations, manage multiple opportunities, and maintain follow-ups.
- Proactive, results-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and adaptable.
- Strong influencing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Evening and weekend availability may be required.
