About the Role
NexGen Cloud is building out its Strategic Finance team to establish a data-driven approach to business operations. This role will focus on ensuring leadership, sales, and operations can rely on accurate, consistent data for daily decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and a desire to learn the commercial aspects of the AI compute market.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines into Databricks and Power BI, automating manual processes.
- Own daily revenue and occupancy reporting for leadership to track GPU fleet performance.
- Reconcile billing data with actual customer usage, including power draw, utilization, asset registers, and credits.
- Support commission calculations and provide sales leadership with insights into pipeline health, conversion, and churn.
- Model pricing options and deal economics to support investment decisions.
- Validate all figures before they are presented to leadership or external parties.
- Assist the team in confidently utilizing BI tools and data.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, including data extraction, integration, or automation projects.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills.
- Solid Power BI experience, including reconciling figures from disparate sources.
- Hands-on use of a CRM (HubSpot or similar).
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis and build work.
- A root-cause analysis mindset, identifying underlying issues and proposing solutions.
- Experience with Databricks (Nice to Have).
- Exposure to billing, revenue assurance, or commission processes, ideally in a cloud, SaaS, or usage-based business (Nice to Have).
- Some experience with financial modeling or FP&A work (Nice to Have).
- Experience in a high-growth company with developing data processes (Nice to Have).
