About the Role
The Area Manager will oversee employees' performance, provide guidance, and manage the relationship between staff and the organization. This role involves planning winter season operations, overseeing snow removal activities, ensuring standards and client expectations are met, and providing feedback to management.
Responsibilities
- Plan operations and dispatch crews for snow removal at multiple commercial locations.
- Oversee snow removal operations to meet internal standards and client expectations.
- Visit sites to inspect snow removal operations during or after completion.
- Create and update tickets and purchase orders in the snow removal system.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate with Account Managers and provide documented feedback to management.
- Participate in contract reviews and year-end reviews.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing teams in landscaping, snow removal, or construction. Experience managing large-scale operations in other domains may be considered.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate passion for the role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage stress and perform multiple tasks.
- Functional knowledge of computers and applications.
- Valid provincial driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must complete a background check.
