About the Role
The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience designed for undergraduate and graduate students. It offers opportunities to attend development workshops, network with professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects. Interns receive mentorship and develop skills throughout the summer, with a focus on key business concepts. The program runs for 10 weeks, from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August, with up to 40 hours per week. Housing is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and performance of monthly, quarterly, and potentially board reporting.
- Support metric reporting and development.
- Support ECO reporting internally.
- Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.
- Complete work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
- Perform a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks covering a broad range of business-related projects.
- Create and deliver presentations at the completion of the internship.
- Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values.
- Adhere to the Corporate Code of Conduct and lead according to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
- Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with company policies.
- Attend work reliably and regularly.
- Perform other functions as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and deliver high-quality work product.
- Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships with peers.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter- departmental teams as needed.
- Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.
