About the Role

Responsibilities
- Service low and medium risk equipment under close supervision.
- Service selected high risk and life support equipment under direct supervision.
- Complete preventive maintenance, safety inspection, calibration, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic devices.
- Service equipment in hospital and offsite locations.
- Work in close proximity to patients and staff in intensive care units and operating rooms.
- Interface effectively with all members of the Clinical Engineering team.
- Perform safety/preventive maintenance inspections and services on electronic and electromechanical biomedical equipment.
- Install, maintain, and calibrate electronic and electromechanical biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot, isolate equipment malfunctions, and repair electronic and electromechanical biomedical equipment.
- Respond to operator complaints about equipment malfunctions, including correcting operator errors.
- Perform equipment modifications with provided instructions, diagrams, prints, or schematics.
- Maintain electronic medical equipment management database files.
- Complete on-call responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED and 1 year of closely related experience in a hospital, military, or comparable organization required.
- Driver License, Valid and in State with means of transportation to service offsite locations upon hire required.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Able to read schematics and mechanical diagrams preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Advanced networking and system integrations preferred.
