About the Role
ABM is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations at a large client site at SFO Airport in San Francisco, CA. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards to maintain an efficient workflow and productive team environment. Flexibility to work weekends is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including repacking, kit-building, receiving, sorting, and inventory movement.
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct pre-shift planning including inventory checks, laundry scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Lead team huddles and post-shift debriefs to communicate goals, progress, and performance.
- Perform spot checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and immediately address hazards or incidents.
- Manage employee breaks, lunches, and attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare shift handover documentation and update daily operational reports.
- Collaborate with Inventory Supervisor and Manager to address critical shortages.
- Maintain communication with leadership and client representatives regarding operations.
- Set a positive, professional example for the workforce and coach employees as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for 2/3 or more of the work shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more for up to 1/3 of the work shift.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from team members and clients.
- Good understanding of computer software including Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Two forms of Valid IDs (Driver's License/ID and Passport).
- Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
- Must be able to complete a drug test and fingerprinting.
