About the Role
Unique 16-month joint internship opportunity between Cadillac Fairview (12 months) and HH Angus & Associates (4 months), providing excellent experience for careers in engineering consulting, management consulting, and commercial real estate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with management of the Toronto Dominion Centre, Canada's largest commercial office property.
- Optimize energy consumption by monitoring and reducing energy usage.
- Analyze vendor performance data and assist with management oversight.
- Assist with planning capital budgets and coordinating construction projects.
- Gain exposure to all areas of building engineering and operations, including Mechanical, Electrical, Building Automation Systems (BAS), utility metering, and energy management.
- Apply knowledge gained at the TD Centre to the design and engineering of building systems.
- Assist with engineering design, tender, and construction administration for commercial sector projects.
Requirements
- Working towards a Post-Secondary education in Engineering.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
- Experience working with databases and using statistics.
- Proficient with computer software such as Google Docs and Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage priorities in a demanding and continually changing fast-paced environment.
- Experience with building systems and analytics (theory) is considered an asset.
- Experience in a corporate work environment is considered an asset.
