About the Role

Amazon is seeking an engineer to support grocery expansion across the North American market by delivering maintenance, repair, and vendor management operations. This role requires up to 50% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling.

Responsibilities

Provide field support for refrigeration sites across assigned geography, including support for operations, field maintenance, and food safety partners.
Manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously, influencing and developing relationships at all organization levels.
Oversee the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects.
Provide leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership and operations teams.
Participate in design review processes across the North American market, providing guidance and recommendations on equipment standardization and procurement.
Travel domestically up to 50%.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
3+ years of technical program management experience
Experience in managing multiple programs/projects using effective time management skills and personal impact to drive complex activities across the organization.
Knowledge of Refrigeration systems and associated equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, controllers, and piping.
Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls.
Understanding of refrigeration systems, troubleshooting, design, and repair.
Familiarity with low-GWP refrigerants, pending regulatory requirements, and design changes.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Experience previously in program or project management.
Familiarity with refrigeration CO2 designs and system improvements/modifications.
Familiarity with refrigeration controls systems including Danfoss and/or Copeland.
Ability to build simplified heating and cooling load calculation models (e.g., using Excel or equivalent tools) to estimate potential energy savings and guide equipment selection or retrofit strategies.
High capability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, frequent changes in priorities, and changes in the business environment.
Understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamic processes and their relation to Refrigeration related applications.
Work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff.
Adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service.
Follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
