About the Role
The Aviation Snow Supervisor assists the airport base management team to ensure services are delivered with the utmost level of safety and quality. This position supervises staff, processes, and gains a complete understanding of snow removal operations, requiring availability for snow events whenever they occur.
Responsibilities
- Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise team members.
- Deliver clear and timely instructions, and oversee employees/contractors to ensure task completion.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, understanding variables, and facilitating corrections.
- Train new employees on equipment operation.
- Motivate others to grow and improve the team.
- Resolve challenges, discrepancies, or miscommunications.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing organization standards.
- Communicate effectively at various levels within the organization.
- Ensure operational readiness of equipment through repairs and performance evaluation.
- Understand and increase knowledge of company systems.
- Manage daily schedules, track progress of deliverables and repairs, and report base readiness.
- Prepare and present reports on productivity, staffing, effectiveness, and success.
- Participate in recruiting efforts for seasonal and casual team members.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge.
- Must have a 4x4/all-wheel drive vehicle safe for heavy snow and icy conditions.
- Proven experience as a supervisor or similar management role.
- Computer skills in MS Office.
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A positive can-do attitude.
- Valid Driver's License.
