About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining the cleanliness and condition of hotel rooms, corridors, and public areas. This role is responsible for assigned floors and ensuring Room Attendants have necessary equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Inspect completed guest rooms for cleanliness and rental status.
- Supervise housekeeping personnel to ensure timely and effective completion of work assignments through proper instruction and inspection.
- Complete a daily report indicating the cleanliness, rental status, and required maintenance work for assigned rooms.
- Assume duties of Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
- Clean rooms, inspect, or perform other necessary roles as needed.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in keeping rooms, corridors, and public areas clean and well-maintained.
- Ensure Room Attendants have the proper and necessary equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year's experience as a Room Attendant.
- Ability to deal with guests and personnel with poise.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, and training abilities.
- Reading, writing, and mathematical abilities, including basic math.
- Must be unquestionably honest and dependable.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, reach overhead, push, pull, bend, and walk stairs.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and push/pull approximately 200 pounds infrequently.
- Flexible hours required, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
