About the Role
As a Generation Flex Delivery Manager, you will own the successful onboarding of flexible generation and energy assets onto KrakenFlex across the EU, with a focus on Germany. This customer-facing role requires managing the full onboarding journey from discovery and technical analysis through to commissioning and handover into live service, acting as the bridge between customers, product, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end onboarding and delivery of Generation Flex assets (BESS, RES) from initial onboarding through analysis, site design, installation, configuration, commissioning, testing and handover into live service.
- Build a strong understanding of the Generation Flex product and SaaS platform.
- Understand how the physical site and its electrical/control systems connect into the KrakenFlex software architecture.
- Work closely with Product and Software Engineering teams to understand relevant GenFlex capabilities, product modules, configuration requirements and technical constraints.
- Translate between customer requirements, electrical engineering requirements and SaaS/product requirements.
- Understand the end-to-end data and control path from the physical asset into Kraken Flex and back to the asset.
- Ensure the customer's intended use of the GenFlex product is reflected in the technical onboarding solution.
- Explain to customers how their site will interact with KrakenFlex from both a physical integration and software/product perspective.
- Work with Product teams to identify where customer or asset requirements do not fit current product capabilities.
- Feed recurring onboarding challenges, customer requirements and technical integration pain points back into Product and Engineering teams.
- Be the primary delivery point of contact for customers during site onboarding.
- Work closely with Electrical Engineering and Customer Success Engineering teams to ensure technical information is complete, accurate and available.
- Review and interpret customer technical documentation including SLDs, network diagrams, site specifications, PPC documentation, Modbus maps, IP addressing, Functional Design Specifications, metering information, and hardware requirements.
- Discuss technical site architecture with customers and engineers, understanding how various equipment fits together.
- Identify missing, inconsistent or technically unclear customer information early and drive it to resolution.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of Kraken integration documentation.
- Coordinate the Kraken Gateway delivery and installation process.
- Manage readiness for key commissioning and testing activities, including gateway installation, operational acceptance testing, and Kraken market and service testing.
- Proactively manage delivery risks and communicate issues and mitigation plans clearly.
- Surface blockers early and drive resolution.
- Maintain clear visibility of the status and health of each site.
- Continuously improve the Generation Flex onboarding process.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with confidence to work closely with electrical, control systems, and networking.
- Practical understanding of industrial networking and communications (IP addressing, LANs, routers, switches, VPNs, site connectivity).
- Sufficient electrical engineering knowledge to understand concepts like metering, breakers, transformers, generators, inverters, batteries, and asset control systems.
- Experience delivering technical projects involving integration, commissioning, or onboarding of physical assets, preferably in energy, renewables, utilities, industrial automation, controls, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain complex technical problems, their impact, owner, and next actions.
- Experience coordinating multiple teams and dependencies across customers, Electrical Engineering, hardware, installation partners, and third parties.
- Highly organized approach to delivery with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- Ability to proactively identify risk, remove blockers, and maintain momentum in a dynamic environment.
- Customer-centric mindset and a drive to provide an outstanding onboarding experience without compromising technical quality.
- Pragmatic, collaborative approach and confidence to operate in a fast-moving environment with evolving processes and products.
- Strong interest in understanding how a SaaS product works end-to-end.
- Drive to get things done in a collaborative, agile environment, comfortable navigating complexity and being the regional face of the site onboarding function.
