About the Role
Restaurant Associates is seeking individuals to join their team as Waiters/Waitresses, a key role in providing dining and event catering services for prestigious clients.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, adhering to safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items, ingredients, and dietary accommodations.
- Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests.
- Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, remaining flexible and patient.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding shared personal or medical information.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisors.
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained according to sanitation standards.
- Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous catering experience is required.
- Must abide by all Company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines for handling knives, hot pans, and proper lifting techniques.
- Must wear slip-resistant shoes.
