About the Role

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) Exteriors and Outdoor Living is responsible for owning downstream contractor demand for all James Hardie products within an assigned segment. The role focuses on defending business, gaining customer wallet share, driving material conversion, and growing market share by expanding premium product adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product adoption and introduce new solutions.
  • Develop structured account plans and execute growth targets.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with accounts.
  • Translate customer feedback into internal recommendations.
  • Maintain account profiles, activity logs, and pipeline opportunities in CRM tools.
  • Use data to forecast account performance and prioritize actions.
  • Drive downstream demand with contractors across Exteriors and Outdoor Living products.
  • Enable cross-selling opportunities to support Channel Managers.
  • Build long-term contractor relationships through ongoing account engagement.
  • Act as the primary dealer relationship owner for assigned accounts.
  • Partner with dealers to launch campaigns, train sales teams, and connect contractor demand to dealer programs.
  • Execute against defined sub-specialization (single family repair/remodel, single family new construction, or multi-family new construction).
  • Tailor engagement and messaging to segment-specific needs.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan that translates regional priorities into daily activity.
  • Manage pipeline, targeting, and follow-up to ensure consistent execution against demand-generation goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of progressive sales experience with a high-level of organization, discipline, and self-structure, preferably within the building products industry.
  • 1+ years of experience working with a Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
  • Ability to travel outside of local market up to 50% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Employment is contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record that meets the Company’s driving eligibility standards.
