About the Role
Collaborate with a team to deliver exceptional produce presentation, teach customers about the benefits of fresh produce, and provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Help people make healthy choices at one of the fastest-growing retailers.
Responsibilities
- Stock the Produce department, including product presentation, facing, filling, and organization according to schematics.
- Ensure tag and pricing accuracy.
- Properly stock and rotate merchandise, including trimming, watering, and merchandising products to ensure freshness and high quality.
- Maintain product knowledge and preparation standards.
- Ensure proper inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability.
- Answer customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high ethical code.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
- Be able to perform repetitive activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the entire workday.
- Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs. from 4” to 72” for a distance up to 3 feet for between 10-50 hours without mechanical assistance.
- Ability to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet.
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift.
- Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
- Team members under 18 will be restricted from using knives (other than safety cutters), ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating any motor/electronically powered equipment, and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.
