About the Role
As a Development Sports/Multi-Sports Coach, you will help children and young people develop a positive attitude towards sport and make physical activity part of their everyday lives. You will act as a positive role model, inspiring and motivating children aged 3 to 12 in a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment to build their confidence, skills, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead recreational and squad coaching sessions tailored to the needs of different groups.
- Maintain accurate participant records.
- Ensure venues and equipment are used safely.
- Work with schools, community organisations, and other partners to deliver high-quality activities.
- Supervise junior coaches and volunteers.
- Contribute to wider activities across Camden’s Sport and Physical Activity Team.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum Level 2 National Governing Body coaching qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Be committed to continuing professional development.
- Have experience of coaching children and young people in at least one key sport, including football or multi-sport activities.
- Be an enthusiastic and positive role model with strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Be comfortable working with children, parents, teachers, colleagues, and community partners.
- Maintain high professional standards and accurate records.
- Be able to travel independently to sessions, matches, and meetings when required.
