About the Role

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities

  • Screen resumes and applications for organizational fit
  • Assist with phone screening candidates and schedule interviews
  • Assist with posting, editing, and closing requisitions
  • Draft offer letters and new hire checklists
  • Assist in preparation for HR events and attend events as necessary
  • Assist with running new hire orientation, including coordinating logistics and hotel accommodations
  • Generate reports as needed
  • Prepare and maintain all HR files, ensuring they are current and in order
  • Handle daily HR administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling meetings
  • Support HR projects, audits, and administrative initiatives
  • Assist with data entry into HRIS system and/or other software systems
  • Maintain and monitor departmental supplies and place orders as needed
  • Provide daily customer service to all employees
  • Monitor the HR and Benefits email inbox, answering routine questions or directing inquiries
  • Assist with processing benefit-related employee updates
  • Enthusiastically support the Mission, Vision, and Core Values
  • Perform additional responsibilities or projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding customer service skills including kindness, empathy, and appreciation
  • Computer and information management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team
  • Resourcefulness to solve problems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with other work units
