About the Role
Tipping Point seeks an Institutional Giving Manager to build out its corporate engagement strategy, transforming informal support into a proactive, repeatable model that unlocks corporate and individual giving. This role involves strategic ownership of corporate funding, managing a donor portfolio, writing compelling proposals, and serving as an organizational ambassador.
Responsibilities
- Manages a dedicated portfolio of corporate partners, cultivating and maintaining relationships, and engaging/soliciting donors annually.
- Identifies, researches, and cultivates prospects, pursuing leads and pitching new institutional funders.
- Builds and maintains a network map of corporate relationships connected to Tipping Point's Board and Leadership Council.
- Writes materials to support relationship development with corporate and institutional donors.
- Initiates and leads site visits, funder briefings, presentations, and other donor education opportunities.
- Collaborates to build out and expand Tipping Point's corporate engagement touchpoints, including volunteer experiences and employee giving.
- Manages the corporate experience around Tipping Point's annual Benefit, including sponsorship solicitation and activation.
- Builds a stronger, sustained engagement model with corporate partners throughout the year.
- Tracks how corporate touchpoints convert into individual donors, volunteers, and pipeline, reporting on engagement metrics.
- Develops persuasive proposals, strategies, narratives, and language for programs and initiatives.
- Builds and maintains the internal toolkit for corporate stewardship and gift leveling.
- Creates, solicits, and implements corporate sponsorship plans for all relevant Tipping Point events.
- Writes foundation and corporate LOIs, grant proposals, and reports within specified timelines.
- Tracks grant deliverables and organizes program team input on reports and proposals.
- Creates budgets in coordination with Institutional Giving Director, program, and finance staff.
- Proactively manages the timeline of annual solicitations to ensure timely funding requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Relevant fundraising experience with a proven ability to secure five and six-figure gifts from foundation and corporate donors.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to efficiently create funding narratives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to synthesize complex activities and data into coherent and compelling narratives.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategy and infrastructure independently.
- Comfortable standing up new systems, relationships, and processes from scratch.
- Credibility and confidence engaging senior leaders, including C-suite executives, founders, and investors.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize workload.
- Strong detail orientation.
- Outstanding partnership development, customer service, and relationship management skills.
- Results-orientation and ability to tackle complex problems through an entrepreneurial approach.
- Ability to work effectively across different groups of people and act as a strong team player.

- Public speaking experience preferred.
