About the Role
Assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of animal rooms and caging, as well as study room set up and breakdown. This position involves routine standing, moving, and lifting for extended periods, including waste removal, sanitization, moving supplies, and general maintenance of animal areas.
Responsibilities
- Removal of animal and general waste.
- Sanitization and decontamination of animal areas before and after studies.
- Transport of animal food and bedding.
- Perform set up and breakdown of study rooms.
- Maintenance and upkeep of animal cages and animal rooms.
- Transportation of animals.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to maneuver 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work the duration of an eight-hour shift, on your feet, in constant motion.
- Must communicate effectively by talking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Must be sober and clear of influence of any substances that may affect work quality or safety.

- Experience with lab animals or animal facility operations preferred
