About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you will have the opportunity to create your own personalized work schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. This role is ideal for those seeking flexibility, allowing you to work as much or as little as you like. Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are critical to your success.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, smile, make eye contact, and initiate a warm, helpful interaction.
Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards.
Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
Explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-ups.
Direct guests on how to enroll, activate, and use fulfillment services.
Show guests how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App.
Process returns following prompts and partnering with leaders as needed.
De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience by partnering with leaders.
Provide easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive-Up, and Registry guests.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for guests.
Work in a safe manner at all times and report hazards.
Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up Orders, and Drive-Up Returns.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

Must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment will be administratively terminated.
Must respond to attempts to contact to confirm interest in working shifts.
Must attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule.
Must be able to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions.
Must be able to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
Must be able to lift or move product up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
Must be able to work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
Must be able to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
