About the Role
The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage its recruitment platform, source and engage candidates, and support HR initiatives. This role involves training members on the recruitment platform, building candidate pipelines, and collaborating with business development and talent development teams to increase participation and fill open positions.
Responsibilities
- Reports to HR supporting the department and management of the recruiting software platform.
- Delivers strategic sourcing that meets real-time deadlines through inbound and outbound strategies.
- Targets talent engagement by proactively sourcing direct-based processes to meet members’ hiring needs and support profitability goals.
- Uses strong communication skills delivering oral, written, presentation, and people skills to members and candidates.
- Supports understanding and alignment of MACNY’s background, culture, and values.
- Creates job descriptions ensuring compliance for internal and external positions.
- Screens and presents candidates to successfully match talent to open positions.
- Maintains an extensive professional network and candidate database.
- Manages the internal and external recruiting process efficiently.
- Collaborates with members and managers to identify future hiring needs.
- Provides added HR and business support as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong people skills with an ability to increase business relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with positive energy.
- Proficient with recruiting software systems, external recruiting sites, and running tracking reports.
- Solid level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

- USD $65,000.00/Yr. - USD $75,000.00/Yr.
