About the Role
As a Security Officer Eatery Facility Part Time Patrol Log Review in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic retail and dining location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist guests and team members with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
