About the Role
Working under minimal supervision, this role is responsible for processing and managing accounts receivable invoices from brokers and related transactions/processes. This is a 12-month contract position.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile broker payments within accounts receivable reconciliation software.
- Perform review and maintenance of reconciliations in accounts receivable reconciliation software, including reviewing discrepancies and following up on outstanding items.
- Communicate with partner brokers to ensure diligent processing of payment triggers established in service level agreements.
- Maintain alignment on documented processes, procedures, and service level agreements.
- Process deposits, including journal entries, and maintain required logs and payment documentation for audit and record-keeping purposes.
- Ensure accuracy, validity, and completeness of transactions.
- Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the documentation of standardized work by participating in review and updates for quality assurance.
- Participate in system changes, testing, and implementation.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in invoice reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of Copilot or other AI assistance software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify systemic connections, issues, and questions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly express ideas, seek clarification, ask probing questions to verify understanding, and write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt effectively to a changing environment by exploring benefits, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others for successful change.
- Cooperative, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude.
- Active enrollment in or willingness to enroll in the PAA program is an asset.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Guidewire software, particularly BillingCenter, is an asset.
- Experience in the P&C insurance industry is an asset.
