About the Role
TRN Law Associates is offering an experienced California litigator the opportunity to take on meaningful real estate and civil litigation matters in a fully remote contract role.
Responsibilities
- Analyze cases and develop litigation strategy
- Draft and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
- Handle discovery and related disputes
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations
- Prepare matters for hearings, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff throughout the life of a case
Requirements
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 15+ years of civil litigation experience
- Substantial trial experience
- Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills
- Ability to independently assess and manage complex litigation matters
- Practical judgment, responsiveness, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
- Experience with Bay Area residential landlord-tenant law and unlawful detainer actions
- Experience with habitability claims, commercial lease disputes, construction defect matters, and general real estate litigation
- Experience with easements, boundary-line disputes, and other neighbor or adjoining-property disputes is highly desirable.
