About the Role
The Assistant Security Supervisor supports the Security Supervisor in ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. This role involves overseeing daily security operations, coordinating staff, and responding to incidents. The Assistant Security Supervisor enforces policies, conducts inspections, and maintains reports to improve security measures and minimize risks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and coordinating the activities of security personnel to ensure effective coverage and response.
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks or breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing support and escalation as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Train and mentor security staff to uphold high standards of professionalism and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required to manage incidents.
- Participate in security audits and recommend improvements to enhance safety measures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard license or certification as required by Canadian provincial regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a security role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
