About the Role
Join Tripledot Studios as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer focused on dynamic pricing and recommender systems within our games. This role involves tabular machine learning, feature development, and model improvement, with a focus on understanding data and collaborating with monetization and product teams to plan A/B tests and translate requirements into ML objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve training pipelines for dynamic pricing and recommender system models.
- Monitor model performance across games and products, investigating data and concept drift.
- Diagnose missed model outcomes and implement improvements to restore model quality.
- Collaborate with monetization and product teams to connect model decisions to revenue and player outcomes.
- Plan A/B tests to inform product shipping decisions.
- Identify gaps in team understanding of models and propose improvements to their direction.
Requirements
- Hands-on training and evaluation of tabular models using neural networks or gradient-boosted trees.
- Experience designing features and labels, choosing metrics, and judging when offline results warrant an A/B test.
- Proficiency in SQL and ability to write efficient queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- An investigative approach to incomplete data and requirements needing clarification.
- Ability to explain model results to partners in terms of revenue and player outcomes.
- Uses AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation, debugging, and iteration.
- Critically reviews and validates AI-generated code, model implementations, and infrastructure configurations.
- Explores AI-powered approaches to improve developer productivity or ML platform capability.
