About the Role
The Summer Internship Programme offers a 12-week immersive experience within Man Group's AHL IDI team. Interns will gain exposure to quantitative models, systematic trading systems, and data management, collaborating with various departments to understand diverse strategies and investment approaches. This program aims to develop technical, analytical, and soft skills through meaningful projects and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Understand a wide range of different strategies, investment approaches, and how the allocated business area fits within Man Group.
- Lead changes to and manage AHL’s quantitative models, systematic trading systems, and alternative and market data across all traded asset classes.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, quantitative research, product structuring, technology, and external counterparties.
- Ensure the accurate implementation and launch of new research ideas, funds, and asset classes.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the end-to-end systematic trading process.
- Work on meaningful projects alongside experienced professionals, supported by a mentor.
- Contribute by defining and improving processes.
- Use data analytics for insights.
- Leverage technology.
- Collaborate with other teams.
Requirements
- Must be a penultimate year university student, graduating in 2028.
- Must have a degree in a subject with significant mathematical or computational content (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or other disciplines involving technical and quantitative analysis techniques).
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
