About the Role
The Media Buyer negotiates with media vendors to secure cost-effective delivery of campaign objectives, balancing price with quality. This role involves strategic campaign execution across TV, OLV, and Radio, requiring analytical skills, math proficiency, and strong organizational abilities. The candidate will contribute to process building within a newer division, requiring accountability and minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate approved executions for TV and Radio.
- Collaborate with media vendors on tactical aspects of media buys to meet campaign objectives or client requests.
- Manage contracts and insertion orders, including any revisions, with media vendors.
- Input broadcast/OLV media buys and actualize media spending.
- Assist with financial tasks, including billing and invoice clearing.
- Maintain tracked and up-to-date trades.
- Train media assistants.
- Prepare and develop routine and custom reports using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Utilize all media-related systems, including DDS and OLV buying platforms.
- Conduct media research using nLogic.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of media buying experience.
- Proficiency in media systems.
- Strong analytical and math proficiency skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical proficiency, particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work successfully with teams, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate work product.
