About the Role
Major Food Group is seeking experienced Part-time Hosts to join our team at Parm Battery Park!
Responsibilities
- Greets and seats guests, presents menus, and informs them of specials.
- Ensures guest satisfaction by exceeding expectations.
- Manages guest waiting lists.
- Operates the floor plan board.
- Monitors table status (clean, dirty, occupied).
- Accurately quotes wait times and collects guest information.
- Maintains the host area with stocked menus and organization.
- Answers phone calls and provides menu and restaurant information.
- Engages with guests upon arrival and departure to ensure a positive experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant preferred.
- Previous customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates a drive for exceptional service.
- Requires full-time flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours, bend, push, pull, and lift 30 lbs.
- Proficient or trainable in computer skills including POS systems, OpenTable, Word, and Excel.
- Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
