Responsibilities
- Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspection reports for each piece of equipment.
- Perform pre-trip inspections on trailers when being used in delivery.
- Drive safely at all times, refraining from texting and using hands-free phone operation.
- Make deliveries timely and report any delays to superior/customer.
- Report vehicle or trailer maintenance problems/issues to superior.
- Keep a daily log of deliveries with invoice number and time.
- Collect and accurately verify orders against pick tickets before loading.
- Load and secure items onto pickup or trailer according to delivery stops.
- Check out credit card referenced to the vehicle for delivery.
- Turn in all credit card and other receipts upon return, accepting responsibility for missing receipts.
- Maintain the delivery bay, including disposing of empty pallets and trash.
- Organize orders on assigned racks to ensure clean and safe walkways.
- Assist in fulfilling orders in the warehouse and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
- Manage time effectively during deliveries and while assisting in the warehouse.
- Be flexible, including working overtime, on-call, and performing duties not specifically identified.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Driving history must meet and maintain qualification for corporate safety program.
- Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret road maps.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and supervisors.
- Attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs or more.
- Must be able to pass random drug tests.
