About the Role
AWS is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to lead and expand business with one of our largest and most innovative ISV customers. You will be a key member of the team responsible for providing business leadership and creative direction, building broad relationships, developing opportunities, and leading extended resources. You will define an executive relationship strategy, including building relationships with AWS senior leadership for executive sponsorship, business reviews, and shaping go-to-market opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all aspects of the customer’s organization, including executives, engineering, business owners, legal, and others.
- Build relationships across an account using creative thinking, articulating a clear vision, and generating enthusiasm.
- Sell at the most strategic level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.
- Work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests.
- Advocate for the customer while balancing the business needs of AWS.
- Manage dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.
Requirements
- 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals.
