About the Role

We are seeking a senior leader to head Sourcing Enablement & Delivery, responsible for operational delivery, contracting enablement, and AI transformation to drive OpenAI's commercial growth. This role involves building teams, systems, and partnerships to enable scalable sourcing and contracting, ensuring speed without compromising commercial discipline.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the organization, including hiring, developing managers, and coaching performance.
Own sourcing enablement and delivery operations, setting service commitments and quality standards.
Lead the sourcing operating rhythm, aligning demand, priorities, and capacity.
Strengthen contracting by partnering with Legal and Procurement Operations on lifecycle management, templates, and playbooks.
Lead RACI development to define responsibilities, decision rights, and escalation paths.
Create mechanisms to integrate sourcing into decisions earlier in the business process.
Build and prove AI-enabled ways of working for sourcing and contracting experiences.
Define Procurement’s commercial-enablement approach with GTM, Partnerships, Legal, and Compliance.
Help define goals and measures of success for Procurement’s contribution to OpenAI adoption and commercial growth.
Bring procurement-buyer expertise into GTM, shaping demonstrations and customer conversations.
Drive OpenAI adoption across the procurement industry by exploring how third-parties and partners can adopt and distribute OpenAI capabilities.
Partner with Legal and Compliance to embed business-integrity and confidentiality safeguards.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or commercial leadership.
Strong judgment regarding supplier choices, negotiations, contracts, and risk.
Experience building or transforming a procurement capability through rapid growth or change.
Proven ability to manage managers and develop strong teams through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Experience working in or closely with marketing, sales, or commercial teams, ideally serving procurement buyers.
Knowledge of the procurement industry, including buyers, technology providers, service firms, and buying priorities.
Ability to use industry analysts, market research, and buyer conversations to inform roadmaps and priorities.
Experience turning AI, automation, or enterprise technology into usable capabilities.
Ability to set direction in undefined paths, prioritize work, and explain tradeoffs.
Curiosity about AI and willingness to test, learn, and change course.
