About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to be one of our earliest hires, owning analytical problems from conception to delivery. This role involves direct customer interaction and shaping our analytical engine for AI-powered products. The ideal candidate is intelligent, resourceful, detail-oriented, proficient with AI tools, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute statistical analyses, predictive models, and data science workflows in Python and SQL.
- Develop and improve Databricks pipelines and reusable data assets for customer deliverables and products.
- Utilize AI tools for data analysis and deliverable creation, contributing to the analytical engine of AI-powered products.
- Scope projects from discovery to delivery, presenting findings in customer-ready reports and presentations.
- Establish checks, standards, and reusable methods to ensure data accuracy and scalability.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a data science or advanced analytics role.
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries (joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs).
- Proficiency in Python for modeling, hypothesis testing, and predictive analytics.
- Experience building or maintaining data pipelines; Databricks or Spark is a plus.
- Daily use of AI tools for efficiency and innovation.
- A rigorous approach to data validation and error prevention.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, provider databases) is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
