About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, corridors, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established reporting procedures.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, assist with directing visitors and passengers, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
