About the Role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, station areas, entrances, platforms, surrounding perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions, potential hazards, and policy violations, and promptly report observations through required communication channels.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
