  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Risk, and other stakeholders on contract terms, negotiation strategy, client issues, compliance considerations, contract interpretation, and commercial disputes.
  • Collaborate with Legal colleagues on cross-border transactions, including master lease and master services agreements and related syndication and securitization matters.
  • Draft and negotiate vendor, procurement, sourcing, and partner agreements, and advise stakeholders on contractual terms, legal and compliance risks, data security expectations, regulatory obligations, and negotiation strategy.
  • Serve as a front-line legal resource for contract-related business inquiries, disputes, and escalated issues, and provide legal support for assigned product areas, new products and services, RFP/RFI responses, and relevant training.
  • Improve legal processes and contracting practices to strengthen consistency and effectiveness, while monitoring legal and regulatory developments affecting vehicle management and leasing and advising stakeholders on potential implications.

Requirements

  • Bring strong commercial and transactional legal experience, sound judgement, and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business guidance.
  • Actively admitted and in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. state or Canadian province or territory.
  • At least five years of experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts.
  • Demonstrated commercial and transactional legal experience, including the ability to independently manage complex matters and competing priorities.
  • Exercise sound legal and commercial judgement on complex matters and provide practical, risk-informed recommendations.
