About the Role
The Program Support Officer will provide direct support to Academic Leadership in the Longo Faculty of Business, offering a comprehensive range of support services to students, professors, program coordinators, and external stakeholders within an assigned cluster of programming. This role involves administrative, program, financial, human resources, student, marketing, and inter-departmental support, and acts as a resource on academic policies and procedures to enhance the learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative, program, financial, human resources, student, marketing, and inter-departmental support.
- Act as a resource to students, professors, program coordinators, and administrators on academic policies and procedures.
- Develop opportunities that directly impact the learning environment.
Requirements
- Hold a three (3) year diploma or degree or equivalent in Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Marketing, or other related field of study.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive administrative or student advising experience in a post-secondary environment.
- Experience compiling and analyzing research-based data from various sources, producing reports, and identifying trends to develop solutions and strategies.
- Experience supporting curriculum planning, academic program delivery, and advising students on course and program selection.
- Experience with a variety of communication platforms and proofreading communications.
- Experience interpreting policies and procedures.
- Special events experience.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to use office equipment and troubleshoot minor technical problems.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent time-management abilities.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Occupational Health and Safety training is considered an asset.
