About the Role
The Alumni Development Assistant acts as the key information management personnel for all University of Guelph-Humber alumni related activities, responsible for accurately capturing, tracking, and recording individual alumni engagement and donor activity, correspondences, media content, and record updates. This role also assists in planning and executing alumni engagement activities, gathering content for and distributing the monthly Alumni eNews and social media postings, acting as the first point of contact for inquiries, and administering the institution's mentorship platform.
Responsibilities
- Accurately capture, track, and record individual alumni engagement and donor activity.
- Manage correspondences, alumni activity related media content, and alumni records updates.
- Assist in the planning and execution of alumni engagement activities and programs.
- Gather content for and send out the regular monthly Alumni eNews.
- Manage social media postings.
- Act as the first point of contact for all inquiries via email, phone, web, and social media.
- Assist in administering the institution's mentorship platform.
Requirements
- University degree in a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with Alumni is preferred.
- Direct event management experience is required.
- Experience with the Adobe Suite including InDesign and Illustrator is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with MailChimp is preferred.
