About the Role
ABC News Studios is seeking an Associate Producer to generate and manage content for multi-part narrative non-fiction projects, single hour topical narrative specials for Hulu, and network specials.
Responsibilities
- Provide logistical and editorial support for all aspects of longform production.
- Set up and manage field shoots.
- Gather and organize elements for edit.
- Book guests.
- Support editors with media.
- Write content.
- Assist with story development by formulating show treatments and decks.
- Manage archival and field elements at mass scale.
- Work independently with editors to advance production.
- Maintain concurrent projects during breaking news for quick-turn longform news features.
Requirements
- Experience with large-scale news or documentary production.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strong editorial judgment.
- Reporting, research, and booking experience.
- Field experience, including conducting interviews.
- Understanding of pre- and post-production technologies.
- Ability to innovate new storytelling methods.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of archival and digital resources.
