About the Role
The Officer is responsible for executing security duties on an assigned shift, protecting guests, team members, and property while maintaining excellent guest service. All duties must be performed within company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of guests and team members.
- Understand and perform duties of a Security Ambassador.
- Assist guests and team members, and respond to critical situations.
- Resolve or diffuse difficult situations with guests.
- Observe and patrol all areas of the property.
- Work assigned posts and complete duties within guidelines.
- Complete CPR/First Aid Training and other required training.
- Report violations or detrimental situations to the Security Supervisor.
- Ensure the integrity of slot, sportsbook, and table games areas.
- Perform Class III related duties such as asset transfers, Table Fills, and escorts.
- Adhere to all compliance requirements from regulatory agencies.
- Assist in internal or external investigations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of departmental and company information.
- Maintain a current understanding of information security policies.
- Provide exceptional guest service and communicate professionally.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Hospitality is preferred.
- Proficient in using security software, Word, and Excel.
- Possess good observation skills.
- Possess good writing and spelling skills.
- Proven guest service experience.
- Ability to work in an intense, fast-paced environment requiring concentration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Maintain physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment.
