About the Role

Small Format Team Members enable a consistent guest experience by ensuring product availability, accurate pricing, and proper presentation in Target's smallest format stores. This role focuses on service, operations, and efficiency, requiring proficiency in all store areas to perform duties such as cashiering, stocking, and maintaining presentation standards. Team members will provide exceptional guest service, anticipating needs and customizing experiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, make eye contact, and initiate helpful interactions.
• Assist guests in finding products and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers with a positive and respectful attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
• Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
• Ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and stocked for guests by working in all departments.
• Assist with truck unload processes and stock products on the sales floor.
• Make changes to sales floor merchandise displays for all departments.
• Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure accurate signing for regular and promotional items.
• Complete scans and system audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support the execution of major transitions.
• Maintain interior and exterior brand standards, including cleanliness and cart management.
• Accurately execute all fills and organize reserve product.
• Process inbound deliveries using the receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
• Operate powered equipment (if certified) to move merchandise.
• Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy.
• Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor progress, and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely, comply with all safety policies, and report/correct hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU).
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
• Ability to frequently lift or move merchandise and fixtures up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
